Best Buy Co Inc <BBY.N> will be the first national retailer to sell Apple
Inc's <AAPL.O> iPhone in the United States in a partnership that could help
drive sales of a device expected to be one of the hottest gadgets this
holiday season.
For Apple, the broadened distribution channel could help achieve its goal of
selling 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. It has sold the device at its
smaller network of Apple shops and at AT&T retail stores, with 1 million of
the new iPhones sold in their first weekend in July.
