又一个星期过去了，在过去的这个星期里，不少的同学都进行了不错的学习，作业做得认真，很多的同学还发来感想，说这样的方式，使得自己可以真正坐下来学习英语，收获良多，那很好，我们继续第3课：
第一个主题：如何学单词
Luke说：这篇是国外权威的描述如何学习英语单词的文章，注意哦，不是'背单词'，单词不是背会的，而是学会的。感兴趣的，你可以选这个主题，等你学完，不定你也可以成为单词大师呢。

Don't try to learn 50 or 100 English words all at once. When you learn English vocabulary in small chunks, you will discover that the new words will become part of your "working" vocabulary much faster. And, just think -- learning just 3 new words a day for a year means that you will have learned about 1,000 new English vocabulary words! Keep track of your progress and you will amaze yourself on how much you will learn.
Learning vocabulary is a basic tool to improve your English .There are at least 500,000 words in English. The native English speaker uses an average of 5,000 words in his/her everyday speech. And only 50 words make up 45% of everything written in English.

In the early days of its development, basketball was played with a soccer ball. Today, the standard basketball is generally orange or brown in color, with an outer cover of leather or nylon and a pebbled (indented) surface to help players grip and control the ball. In men's play, a basketball is 29.5 to 30 in (74.9 to 76.2 cm) in circumference and 20 to 22 oz (567 to 624 g) in weight. VICTOR HUGO
As a novelist, poet, political activist, and painter, Victor Hugo was a central figure in the Romantic movement of 19th-century France. Both his family and his times influenced Hugo's social views and politics, which included a deep concern with human rights, social injustice, and poverty as the root of evil. Born in Besançon, France, in 1802, Hugo grew up in the years of Napoleon Bonaparte's empire. In 1815 the empire collapsed at the battle of Waterloo, which Hugo describes in detail in Les Misérables, and a constitutional monarchy was established. Hugo’s father was a general in the Napoleonic army with republican sympathies while his middle-class mother had royalist leanings. The young Hugo spent a large part of his childhood in Paris with his mother. He also traveled through Europe in his father's wake and glimpsed the Napoleonic campaigns. After attending school in Paris, he married his childhood love, Adèle Foucher, in 1822.
In that same year, Hugo published his first volume of poetry, the beginning of a long and diverse literary career that also included drama and novels.

Modern enthusiasts may share the emotions of earlier naturalists, along with their desire to experience nature, but they usually camp in a different manner. Backpacking most closely resembles the type of camping practiced by Muir and Leopold. Other campers drive to a campsite, setting up camp near their car or camping in a recreational vehicle.
第五个主题：罗马法
Luke说：第二课，没有同学选法律，所以Luke考虑停掉这个专题的学习，各位同学有没有比较好的建议，选个其他专题，或者有现成的文章，可以告诉Luke。
